What it is

PinnChrome Ocean Blue is a classic blue reflective coating in the PinnChrome range. We process purchased coated glass and do not coat in house. Panes go through coating-side selection, edge preparation and, where the coating allows, toughening, lamination or IGU assembly, followed by inspection under suitable light.

How it differs from other PinnChrome options

Ocean Blue gives a cool blue facade tone. Silver is more neutral, Evergreen is green, Bronze Gold is warm and Rainbow is iridescent. Choice usually depends on the building's palette and surroundings.

Typical uses include commercial facades, office glazing, shopfronts and spandrels.

Working within the PinnChrome range

PinnChrome products are purchased coated glasses that we process at our plant; we do not coat glass in house. For each project a coated glass and coating side are agreed, edges are prepared to suit the coating, and toughening, lamination or IGU assembly follows where the selected coating allows it. Panes are then inspected under suitable light. Whether a particular coating can be edged, toughened or laminated depends on the product, so we confirm before production. Reflective appearance and privacy depend on the balance of lighting inside and outside the building, and both change between day and night, so approve colour with a sample.

How it is processed

2. 2. Cut and edge. Edges are prepared to suit the coating.
3. 3. Process. Toughening, lamination or IGU assembly follows.
4. 4. Inspect. Panes are checked under suitable light.
