What it is

PinnTexture Fluted is a patterned glass with vertical channels, often called ribbed glass. We process purchased fluted glass; we do not roll the pattern in house. It is cut and edged to the drawing, then toughened or laminated where required, and packed with the pattern side marked.

How it differs from other PinnTexture options

Fluted has a bold vertical rhythm. Reeded has a finer reed texture, Satin gives a smooth, uniform acid-etch appearance, Nashiji has a hammered surface and Flora carries a decorative leaf pattern. Fluted is usually chosen when the pattern direction is part of the design.

Where it is used

Typical uses include office and residential partitions, shower screens, doors and sidelights, cabinet fronts and feature walls, giving soft privacy while daylight passes through.

Working within the PinnTexture range

PinnTexture products are made from purchased patterned glass that we cut, edge and process to drawing at our plant. We do not roll patterns in house, so the pattern and glass source are chosen with you at the start. Toughening or lamination follows where required, and panes are packed with the pattern side marked so installers can orient them correctly. Processing options depend on the selected pattern and base glass. Patterned glass can look different once toughened or installed, which is why we recommend reviewing a physical sample in the space before confirming an order, particularly for larger runs of matching panels.
